Tell us your brief and our atelier curates a shortlist of three or four certified lab-grown stones for what you are looking for. A 50 percent deposit reserves the curation and the stones we are considering for you, fully refundable if none is right. The shortlist arrives within ten business days, often faster.

What we ask in the brief

It takes about three minutes. We ask:

• The shape, or the two or three you are considering.
• The carat range you have in mind.
• Colour and clarity preferences, if you have them. If not, we will guide you.
• The figure you want to spend, all-inclusive.
• Your timeline, when you would like the stone in hand.
• Whether you are commissioning with your own jeweller or for us to set later.
• Anything you have already shortlisted elsewhere, including report numbers.

You do not need to know the technical answer to every question. The fewer assumptions you bring, the more room we have to find a stone that is genuinely right.

What happens after you submit

1. We confirm and lock the brief

Within one AEST business day, our atelier reads your brief and replies. If anything is ambiguous, we ask one or two clarifying questions. The deposit is taken at this point.

2. The shortlist arrives

Within ten business days, often faster, you receive three or four stones. Each comes with photography, the IGI or GIA report, full proportions, and a written reason it was chosen. If we found nothing strong enough, we tell you and refund the deposit in full.

3. The consultation, then the choice

A thirty to forty-five minute consultation in your time zone. You choose one stone, or none. If you choose, the balance is paid and the stone ships from Sydney with full paperwork. If you choose none, the deposit is refunded in full.

About the 50 percent deposit

When we lock your brief, we take a deposit equal to half of your stated figure. It reserves the curation work and the actual stones we identify and hold for you while you consider them.

If you choose one of the shortlisted stones, the deposit is credited to it and the balance is due before shipping. If your chosen stone comes in under your figure, the difference is refunded. If none is right, the deposit is refunded in full. No partial holds, no admin fees.

Common questions about the brief

What if none of the shortlisted stones are right?

Your deposit is refunded in full, no questions. We will usually offer to run a second brief at no additional deposit if you would like to refine and try again, but you are under no obligation.

Why is the deposit 50 percent, not a small token?

Because the curation and the holds are real. We reserve the stones that pass your brief while you consider them, which means our cutting partners hold them off the market. The deposit is fully credited to your stone or refunded in full, so it is a reservation, not a fee.

Can I bring my own jeweller for inspection before I commit?

Yes, we expect it. The chosen stone ships with full IGI or GIA paperwork and you have 30 days to inspect it, including with any jeweller of your choice. If anything does not pass their check, return it for a full refund.

Do you publish prices on the shortlist?

Yes. Every shortlisted stone comes with the all-inclusive AU price: GST, shipping, insurance, certificate and verification. The number you see is the number you pay.

How long is a typical consultation?

Thirty to forty-five minutes, in AEST. Shorter if you are decisive, longer if you want to walk through the technicals stone by stone.

What if I am sourcing for a piece already commissioned with a jeweller?

Tell us in your brief. We source to their specification, ship to their address, and include a signed authenticity letter alongside the IGI or GIA report. We are stone-only, so there is no setting commitment to us.
